The ending of a pro wrestling match is supposed to be an exhilarating rush of excitement that brings fans to their feet. The ending of a match is typically punctuated by the use of a finishing move. Because in the logic of pro wrestling, all the moves you did before don’t matter but once you land the move that is on the highlight reels, it’s all over for your opponent. Some of these great finishers are creative submissions, jaw-dropping flips from the top rope or soul crushing slams to the mat. Other times though, you have finishing moves which are complete duds.
These could either be moves which take too long to pull off, make no sense or just come off as pitiful excuses of offense. WWE has seen a lot of bad ones, and here are the top 10 worst finishing moves in WWE history.
