  1. LMAOO at all the old virgin marks mad over this video and the little kids trying to be cool also mad πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ the attitude era is history, CM Punk never coming back, Reigns in the top guy in WWE. ACCEPT IT. Dumbass clowns. Great video Zane

  2. The Attitude Era was indeed a mixed bag of entertainment. One reason I believe WWE will never hit those levels again(though there's always the chance of maybe surpassing them, one can always hope☺), is because society has changed. It, in many ways, has grown soft and sensitive(I'd even say thin-skinned and drone-like in particular places, judging by the past few years). People are so easily offended, many are even prefended(pre-offended, so conditioned as to be offended merely by the mention of the person's name, or a particular race/gender/sexual preference). Society has changed so much(and not all of it for the better, imho), we'll never see the likes of the Attitude Era again.

You can't live in the past, but you can learn from it, take lessons from it to apply to the present, and make a, hopefully, better future. We will never get the likes of Stone Cold or the Rock again, because they were from a different league, a different era. Same goes for Bret Hart, HBK, Hogan, Flair, Samartino, Punk, Cena. Each era has it's own icons, destined to become legends. But society is always changing(again, sadly, not always for the better). The Attitude Era itself was a product of society's change. They let the wrestlers be themselves, amped up to 11(at least for Rock and Stone Cold), and they let the fans decide.

That latter box can never be closed again. And I think it takes the combination of great talent finding themselves, and the fans enjoying the results, that makes for entertainment.

Do I miss the Attitude Era? Yes, but for more than just the t&a. Attitude wasn't just vulgarity and violence, it was the freedom of the stars to express themselves and their ideas, and freedom for the fans to choose what was crap and what was good. At least, that's my takeaway from it.

Let the talent invent themselves, and let the fans decide what they like. And make sure you have good writers able to adapt said creations well.

Then again, I could be wrong ☺.

  3. WWE is going the way of WCW but at least women who were paid lots of money and chose to be sex objects are not being treated like pieces of meat. Nobody is watching WWE anymore but we got some great athletic matches nobody cares about.
